How much do AI companies pay for data? What buyers say about payment
Updated
No buyer on the table publishes an amount. 2 describe a share of revenue and 6 another way of paying; 4 do not say how a seller is paid. Here is what those that say it say.
Check my company's records Send the size of the company, the systems the records sit in and how many years they cover. We reply with the buyers whose stated asks fit and what has to come out first.
A share of licensing revenue
2 buyers describe a share of what the data earns. Troveo says "you share in the revenue on all of them", and Wirestock that you "earn commission whenever it is licensed".
Payment per sale or on acceptance
- Grepped: approved listings reach AI labs, and when they purchase, the money comes to the seller.
- Maryah: "You get paid for every approved sale under the agreement."
- Nyne: payment once the dataset is delivered and accepted, as set out in the partnership agreement.
- License My Data: the material stays available, so it can be placed with several buyers and the seller is paid on each.
- Created by Humans: the author is compensated when the work is licensed.
Priced on the data itself
micro1 says "Compensation is based on the quality, uniqueness, and value of the data provided". 4 buyers on the table do not say on the pages behind their rows how a seller is paid, so ask before you send anything.
